Led by Chair of Unmudl Steering Council, Chancellor Lee Lambert, Pima Community College is a two-year college serving the greater Tucson metropolitan area at six locations throughout Pima County. Founded in 1966, Pima's credit courses award certificates and associate degrees in a variety of fields. Pima also provides workforce development, career training programs, continuing education, and adult education. Pima has undertaken a complex transformation to become the institution of choice for working learners because 54-71% of all students in the U.S. who are dropping out of college, are doing so primarily to keep their jobs. As the Chair of the Unmudl Community College Steering Council, for the benefit of the community, Pima is breaking their transformation efforts into small, actionable pieces to create playbooks that other colleges can use.
